It’s no secret that there is a grey hair trend among women. Some might even call it a grey hair movement! The number of ladies sharing their stories on social media is growing by the day. These awesome silver sisters are full of terrific tips. Erica Johnston
Erica is a prematurely silver-haired gal who decided to ditch the dye in March of 2017. She is a wife and a mama to two great boys. On her channel, you will see the ups and downs of her journey. She offers advice for making your own transition to silver hair (or grey hair, or white hair, or any shade for that matter!) a little easier.

This channel has a great many grey hair transition stories presented in short videos. Silver sisters from all over the world, of different ages, hair types, and skin tones share their grey hair transformations for inspiration and encouragement!
jjMua Artistry
This lovely beauty and fantasy makeup artist talks about all things beauty, skincare, haircare, and makeup on her channel. So many excellent beauty tips! She also has a series called Before The Grey And After where she features silver sisters sharing their personal journies about embracing their grey hair.
Nikol Johnson
Of course, I have to include Nikol Johnson in this list of my favourite silver sisters! She was one of my first inspirations when it came to this going grey journey. Nikol’s channel is about empowering women to show up, be bold, fierce, and unapologetic. It’s not just about going grey young it’s about a powerful movement for women breaking out and having NO BEAUTY RULES. She covers all things beauty and fashion with over 25 million views and is also very active on Instagram, Tik Tok, and Pinterest.
The Grey Indian
Huji at The Grey Indian is a British Asian woman in her 40’s who decided in February 2020 to embrace her greys. As a Makeup Artist, she has very insightful tips on adapting beauty routines to changing hair and skin as we age. Her channel’s mission is to help normalize grey hair and share her knowledge with other women over 40 who are going through similar experiences.

This Organic Girl
Lisa at This Organic Girl talks all things green beauty, nontoxic makeup, natural skincare, clean eats, ethical fashion and sustainable lifestyle. And yes, she talks about her grey hair journey too!
Chuck Edwards
Chuck Edwards is a colorist, stylist & salon owner located in Austin, Tx. While not a “silver sisters” channel per se (obviously lol), Chuck has an amazing grey hair playlist if you are interested in seeing how grey blending and transformations take place. Grey hair began at 21. I recently stopped using blonde hair dye and now at 68, after going ‘pixie’ short, my pure white hair only ever gets great comments. Even the haircutters say “Others would pay a fortune to have hair that colour”. The red lipstick helps give me a younger look too.
That’s awesome! I bet some people would totally pay a fortune for it 🙂 And I agree, a pop of red or coral lipstick can look really amazing with silver hair. I find it helps to keep me from looking washed out, especially in the winter months.
