Kids’ Christmas Books About Giving & The True Spirit Of The Season

Christmas will be sneaking up on us real soon folks. Time to start thinking about all things holiday. For us that includes classic holiday movies and books. We’ve compiled a top ten list of the best kids Christmas books about giving to help you teach your little ones about the true spirit of the season.

Our little bug is just getting the hang of what Christmas is all about this year and he learns so much from storytime. I can’t wait to dive into these books with him! It’s such a great way to help your children learn about the things that matter most not only at Christmas, but all year round. In other words, how giving, not receiving is the best part of all.

Don’t get me wrong. It is a blast to see the little ones get so pumped up about Santa, the elves, magical flying reindeer, and all the wonderful goodies they will receive IF they’ve been good all year! (Or at least did their very best right?)

It’s so very exciting but we all know the holidays can become pretty chaotic. So before the madness gets into full swing, why not add some of these kids’ Christmas books about giving to your child’s library?

Take a few moments out of all the hullabaloo, grab a mug of hot cocoa and have storytime.

Teach your kids from a young age that Christmas is more about giving than receiving. It is about generosity, kindness, and peace. Show them how important it is to keep the spirit alive in their heart all year long.

Christmas really isn’t about how much money someone spends on your gift, or even if they give you one at all. It is about being giving, kind, and opening your heart. But most of all, Christmas is about love.

We’ve included some books that carry religious messages and some without, something for everyone. We sincerely hope you will enjoy some of our Christmas picks, perhaps some of them can become family Christmas traditions in your home.
