When it comes to skincare, the options can seem overwhelming when bombarded with the newest products or skincare fads. And let’s, face it, high-end beauty products can be expensive!

Making your skincare serums at home with these natural ingredients is a great way to improve your complexion and save some dough at the same time. And, who doesn’t like saving money??

Moringa Oil Skin Benefits

Before we dive into the recipe, let’s talk about the benefits of moringa oil and why it should be a staple in your skincare routine.

This amazing oil comes from the seeds of the moringa tree, sometimes called the “miracle tree.”

Moringa oil is a powerhouse of nutrients, rich in antioxidants, vitamins A and C, and fatty acids. So, it only stands to reason that moringa oil is beyond amazing for your skin! We’re talking hydration, anti-aging benefits, and a healthy glow, all in one little bottle.

Oddly enough, I stumbled upon the idea of incorporating moringa oil into my skincare routine when I was researching the benefits of moringa powder, (the secret ingredient in my green smoothies). You see, the power of moringa reaches far and wide and takes many different forms, but… I digress.

Anyway, I already knew that moringa was great in a green drink but I wasn’t aware that it could be used as a carrier oil for a face serum. I usually use jojoba or sweet almond oil in my DIY skin serums but now I had discovered a new secret weapon to add to my arsenal…moringa oil!

So I whipped up a batch with two of my favourite essential oils, frankincense and helichrysum, I was pretty much hooked. After just a week, my skin looked brighter, and felt soft and smooth, and I even noticed those pesky fine lines on my face were less noticeable.

The Magic of Frankincense and Helichrysum Oils

Now, let’s talk about the other stars of this DIY face oil —frankincense and helichrysum essential oils. Frankincense has been used for ages in skin care. It has incredible anti-inflammatory and astringent effects, helps improve skin elasticity and lessens the appearance of scars and wrinkles. It is a true powerhouse when it comes to skincare!

Helichrysum, often referred to as “immortelle,” is another gem in the world of essential oils. It’s renowned for its skin-healing properties, particularly in reducing redness and irritation.

Combining frankincense and helichrysum with magical moringa oil creates the ultimate glow serum! It nourishes, heals, and rejuvenates your skin. What could be better than that?!?

Without further ado, let’s get into 3 simple moringa oil skin serum recipes that you can whip up in just a few minutes! Use these serums on your face, neck, and chest for best results!

I recommend using high-quality organic moringa oil and 100% pure essential oils in your skin serums. Make sure you are not using just a fragrance oil! Reputable essential oil manufacturers will always specify the purity and quality on the bottle’s label.

Why DIY Face Oil Serum?

One of the reasons I love making my own skincare products is the control it gives me over what I’m putting on my skin. With so many products on the market containing questionable ingredients, I like knowing that my serums are made with pure, natural oils.

Another benefit? Customization. You can adjust the recipes to suit your skin’s needs. Need more hydration? Add a bit more moringa oil or vitamin E. Want to combat redness? Throw in an extra drop of lavender or chamomile oil. The possibilities are endless, and you can tailor each serum to your specific skin concerns.

It’s Never Too Early Or Too Late To Start!

I regret that I didn’t take skin care seriously when I was younger. Back in the 80s and 90s, I didn’t think much about sunscreen and like most women my age, I used to “lay out” with baby oil to tan. So, of course, I have some sun damage but since I started using this serum, I really have seen a change in my skin.

This DIY moringa oil serum gives my face a more even-looking complexion and leaves my skin soft and glowing. Sometimes I even get complimented and asked what my skincare secret is! And, I’m always happy to share.

Your Skin Deserves the Best!

Taking care of your skin doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. You can create this luxurious, effective DIY skin and face oil serum at home with moringa oil plus a few simple ingredients.

Combos with essential oils like frankincense, helichrysum, lavender, and tea tree, offer a natural solution to common skincare woes, whether it’s dryness, dullness, redness, dark spots, wrinkles, or acne.

So why not give it a try? Your skin—and your wallet—will thank you! Plus, there’s something truly empowering about taking your skincare into your own hands and knowing exactly what’s going on your face.

Cheers to radiant, healthy skin with the help of nature’s best ingredients!

Until next time, K.
