Get Your Glow On With One of These Homemade Anti-Aging Face Packs!
Life can be hard on our skin, especially those bits that are exposed a little more than we’d like. Face and hands to be specific. Especially if you live in a colder climate, winter weather can wreak havoc on your face. But, of course, any time of the year is a good time to whip up one of these lovely, homemade anti-aging face packs for yourself.

The best thing about these DIY beauty masks is that you probably already have many of the ingredients in your pantry! They are all super simple to make and only need 3-4 ingredients each.
If you are into essential oils, feel free to add incorporate your favorite facial essential oil blends into any of these.
Now, I know it’s not the same as going to a professional spa and getting the whole nine yards, and of course, depending on where you live in the country some personal services may still be closed or limited due to the pandemic.
But that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t take the time to pamper yourself at home, especially when it is this quick and easy.
A little self-care goes a long way. And boy oh boy, we are all tired and a little or a lot stressed these days.
Give Yourself An Anti-Aging Facial At Home!
Want to rejuvenate tired skin, detoxify, minimize pores, moisturize, and smooth fine lines and wrinkles? There’s a recipe for that! And for those of us that are on the …ahem, older side, of course, we might be drawn to reverse the clock.
Well, of course, I know you can’t reverse the clock, but maybe slowing it down a little would be cool.
The natural ingredients in these homemade anti-aging face packs combine as simply as 1-2-3 and are perfect for a little at-home spa day with friends or anytime.
I like to apply one of these beauty masks and then soak in a hot bath with Epsom salts and a few drops of my favorite essential oils.
First, wash your face with your favorite facial cleanser and warm water, then gently pat dry. With all of these masks, I generally leave them on for a minimum of 20 minutes for best results.
When applying your mask, use small circular motions and spread evenly over the face and jawline area. You can even apply to the neck and upper chest area as well if you’d like. Also remember, be careful to avoid the eye area.
After your mask magic has done its thing, rinse thoroughly, apply your favorite moisturizer and Voila! You are good to go and your skin will look and feel amazing.
Also, I’ll note that the measurements when making your masks don’t always have to be super strict or precise. We’re not baking a cake so it is absolutely OK to eyeball it within reason.
Be wary of any skin allergies or reactions you may have to any of these natural ingredients.
Now, let’s dive in!
Avocado Banana Bliss
- ½ ripe avocado
- ½ very ripe banana
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 2-3 drops of essential oil (Lavender or Frankincense are great choices!)
Super nourishing and moisturizing, this mask is a favorite of mine. The avocado, along with the anti-aging benefits of lavender and frankincense essential oils will work wonders for your face. Bananas are loaded with potassium and also are very rich in moisture.
Avocado Moisturizing Magic
- 1 Tbsp. raw honey
- 1 Tsp. olive oil
- 1 Tsp. coconut oil
- 2 Tbsp. mashed avocado
Mix all ingredients in a small bowl (it will take all of 30 seconds to make this one). Simple and nourishing, this one adds the anti-bacterial power of honey to the avocado mixture.
Pore-Minimizing Powerhouse
- 1 egg white
- 1/2 Tsp. coconut oil
- 1/2 Tsp. lemon juice
Separate the egg white in a small bowl and whisk until foamy. Then mix in the coconut oil and lemon juice. The astringent quality of the lemon juice makes the magic happen here tightening pores, especially when combined with the egg white.
Cocao Clay Anti-aging Face Pack
- 1 Tsp. finely ground coffee
- 1 Tbsp. cocao powder
- 1 Tbsp. Bentonite clay
- Enough water to make a smooth paste
Mix all of the dry ingredients in a small bowl and then slowly add the water until you get a spreadable paste consistency. The antioxidants found in cacao and the detoxifying and exfoliating power of Bentonite clay make this mask supreme. Applying clay to your skin also helps boost collagen production naturally. I am very partial to Dead Sea mud and clay masks myself. I find that they leave your skin feeling unbelievably soft, smooth, and definitely much younger -feeling!
Coffee Mud Delight Anti-Inflammatory Mask
- 2 teaspoons Bentonite clay (you can also use French green or white kaolin clay)
- 1 teaspoon coffee grounds
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar (dilute it with a teaspoon of rose water)
- 2-3 drops tea tree oil
First, mix the clay and coffee grounds and then add the apple cider vinegar and tea tree oil. This invigorating mask helps to tone and maintain a proper PH balance, along with the tea tree oil that helps battle germs and prevents and heal pimples and blemishes.
Pumpkin and Nutmeg Brightener
- 2 Tbsp. fresh pumpkin puree
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon raw honey
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
First, combine the pumpkin puree with the nutmeg, then slowly add the honey and mix well. Lastly, add the apple cider vinegar until you achieve the desired consistency. The natural enzymes in the pumpkin and honey along with alpha-hydroxy acids will brighten your skin, boost collagen production, and leave your face feeling silky smooth.
Yogurt Honey & Turmeric Rejeuventator
- 2 Tsp. full fat plain Greek yogurt (You can use low fat if you have oily skin)
- 1 Tsp. raw honey
- a pinch of turmeric
- 1-2 drops of Frankincense essential oil (optional)
Honey is anti-microbial and is a great binding agent in this amazing anti-aging mask. Turmeric is a standard and incredible addition to many DIY beauty masks due to its anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. Turmeric also contains tiny particles that act as an exfoliant. And Frankincense has endless benefits and can help skin look younger looking by promoting cell regeneration and diminishing the look of fine lines and wrinkles to boot.
Carrot Yogurt Glow Mask
- 1 Tbsp of carrot pulp or paste
- ½ Tsp. fresh lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp. full fat plain Greek yogurt
That wraps it up for now!
Treat yourself and give one, or all of these homemade anti-aging face packs a try one day soon. You will notice a difference in how your skin looks and feels almost immediately.
For best results do a mask once or twice a week and the results will speak for themselves. It’s just a simple thing you can do for your self-care routine. Take care of YOU. I think we can all agree that we all deserve a bit of pampering right?
And younger-looking skin, well… that’s always a great bonus!
Until next time, K.
